Rain died yesterday after Mang Toribio accidentally ran over him with the car. He was resting near the tires after eating dinner. He died almost instantly and we didn't dare rush him to the nearest hospital, knowing that even if he did survive, he would be in great pain for the rest of his life.
My dad just heard the maids crying and so he checked outside to see what happend. They were already wrapping Rain in his socks/blanket. My dad rushed upstairs to tell my mom and me. The maid said she heard a weird sound in the wheel, as if it hit something and after that she saw Rain lying on the floor, blood coming out of his nose and mouth. His head was shaking and he was looking at our maid. Then he just went.
We placed him inside a shoebox and buried him together with his ball, orange yarn and crystal seashell. My parents didn't want to bury him in our backyard coz it has already become a cemetery for my hamsters and mice. So we buried him in the village guards' barracks.
Days before Rain died, he was feeling really insecure coz our maid rescued another new kitten. So we decided to pamper him yesterday by giving special treatment. Who would've thought that he'd die after dinner...
He was the most spoiled pusang kalye we ever had. He was the only one allowed to come inside our house. He was the only one who had his own sleeping box and pearl necklace. He was also the only one who was always being massaged and scratched in his belly on a daily basis.
He was named Rain after one of the maids found him near the trash while it was raining. He was only around 2 weeks old at that time and has grown a lot ever since. But he was still a kitten when he died.
Rain almost died twice. The first was when he was having severe diahrrea and had worms inside his tummy after feeding him cow's milk. Thank goodness he had suddenly grown teeth so he could start eating solid food. The second was when his neck got stuck in the door for around 10-20 minutes. His nose and mouth were black and he was barely breathing and the maid had to give him CPR. Unfortunately he didn't survive this one.
