The ACTM PlanSem was soooo tiring for me---more than what I expected it to be. I had to collect Plansem fees from everyone and take over whatever Finance duties there are since Alexa wasn't there. Then the project heads had to go through this treasure hunt/ Amazing Race game which I thought was going to be held late in the afternoon but hell they did it before lunch when the sun was scorching hot! I was really thankful my "pitstop" was at the clubhouse so I had a shade but I was still sweating like a pig. . But I really pitied the project heads especially Twinkle since I already envisioned her reaction while walking/attempted running ("Putangina..Putangina..") and Matts who I know really hates running. I was really surprised because the fee was only P400 and yet we were able to get to Vivere Suites, obviously not a P400-a-night accomodation (thanks to the genius of Fraggy!) I love love love love their creamer!!! It tastes so delicious even to the point that Ediboy and I had to steal around 12 packets! Its too bad I couldn't eat it polvoron style or else everyone's gonna look at me like I'm crazy.
I have to admit that the presentations were pretty boring but I tried my best to "take notes" especially when it sounds finance-like or anything money related. But I really appreciated some of the powerpoint presentations because it was well prepared and I know how hard it is to come up with proposals given such a short time. Everyone was able to come up with good ideas and though there wasn't a lot of input/comments from the audience ( doh isa ako dun!), I still appreciated everyone's effort. I was especially impressed with Raymond "MONS" Molina since he showed his impressive leadership skills during the PlanSem. I was surprised that he could be very charismatic and ma-PR. Where's your next gig Mons? Can't wait to attend it! You'll always have my 100% support, GO MONS!
Going to the plansem also made me realize that I kinda act more like a project head rather than an AVP. I told the project heads to memorize the Finance guidelines and procedures when I myself am not even 100% familiar with it ( I will when the wrath of Stat and Eco leaves me!) . I even became paranoid when the money I've collected didn't match my records ( but that was later solved thanks to Moe!) And then I made a mistake during the Amazing Race that almost cost the winning team their first place finish. I always thought that being a project head was harder than being an AVP since being a project head entails a huge burden on you if any shit happens to your project.With being an AVP, I had the impression that as long as there's the VP, you're gonna be just fine. But then I guess the pros of being a project head is that you call the shots in the sense that if you don't wanna have a meeting tomorrow because you have to study for an exam then you don't! You make your own rules and it gives you so much freedom to do just what you want with the project. But being AVP has been interesting so far, no regrets! But I still have to get to know the EB members ( excluding blockmates). Since I never go to meetings or actually hang out with the EB, I have yet to bond with them...babawi nalang ako, promise!
Anyways, after the presentations I had a blast hanging out with my blockmates in our room. All 5 of us ( Moe, Matts, Bianca, Ediboy and me) shared the bed. Twinks slept on the couch. Grabe ang likot ni Bianca pero si Ediboy hindi, mukha pa ngang nakakapit nalang sa bedsheet at malapit nang mahulog. I felt a little guilty because when I went to the other room ( inuman session), I wanted to join them for a little while so I could get to know them better. But blockmates awaited in the other room and so I just "stole" a beer and left. I hope nobody noticed..next time nalang ako makiki-mingle! :D No regrets though coz I had so much fun with my blockmates hehe! :D And jumping in the bed was cool too!
After the Plansem, I was so tired I dozed off in the car. My family went to Greenbelt to shop and so I had to drag myself with them. Then we ate at Circles at Shang and yes I woke up to my favorite : Circles' Chocolate Cake ( creamy goodness, yum!)
By the way, the most stupid thing I've heard this month: My brother who has an I-Pod Shuffle, bought an I-Pod Mini. What the fuck was he thinking wasting all that money? Stupid idiot shit! Dapat ni-libre nalang niya kami hahaha! Ano gagawin niya sa isang I-Pod? Wala lang nakatago sa drawer...
And why is the title RRrrrrrr? Coz I can finally RRRRrrrrrrr! Don't get it? Too bad he he! Special thanks to Arianne for coaching me, winner ka talaga, ah oo nga pala hindi kita kilala.
